When symptoms show up in our body, we often view and react to this as something negative to be removed, as though our body is misbehaving. But often symptoms are the body’s way of communicating with us that something needs attention, and so instead of turning on our body, what if we could tune into our body to find out what it is saying? When did it first start feeling like this? What was going on in your life at the time, or in the lead up to it? What is the body asking me to look at?
What if we could show gratitude to our body for revealing and bringing focus to something that isn’t working in our lives, or something unresolved in our lives that needs attention? By looking at our bodies and symptoms in this way, we also understand the benefit of being treated holisitically and working with the root cause while simultaneously addressing your symptoms.
